Little did I know that the Monday night Euchre of this week would be the last time that Cathie and I would play cards as partners. We had a lovely chat, both of us playing well and ended the game with a high five as we won it. What a lovely way to remember her by. She will be definitely missed. Extending sincere sympathy and condolences to Catherine's family and friends.

Cathy was a wonderful woman. We didn’t see her often but every moment with her was special! I truly admire her zest for life and dedication to her community, family and friends. I was lucky to experience teaching with her near the end of her career. I am especially grateful for the time I was able to visit with her and help her out while she was at NHH. Even when sick she never stopped. Woody and I will miss her fun and loving interactions. She will be greatly missed by so many! Sending our love and condolences to all of her Family and Friends. Sending our condolences. Cathy was a great teacher to my brother Joe Miller at Newcastle public and my mom who has passed also was Cathy's ea in Port Hope school. She was a great lady. Helen, Sending my deepest sympathy to you. Harry and I and Amber use to go and spend summer holidays with Roy and her. After Roy passed we didn't get down as much. Cathy was my teacher and friend for many years. With her love of Standardbred horses we always had lots to talk about. She truly was a faithful fan, not many weeks went by that she wasn't at Kawartha Downs cheering on her favorites. Rest In Peace my dear you are at the post drive on. I only met Cathy this summer as she wanted someone to take her to the track on Saturday nights. I was amazed at all the people who greeted her there with obvious love and affection. You could just tell she was someone to be respectful of. While I only spent a short time with her, I really enjoyed her company. Wish she had hung around a little longer.

I met Cathy many years ago, not only at the Legion but also at the race track. Whenever we met she always asked about my family, as they connected at the track. She was a great person and loved by so many. Her heart and soul was put into the Legion. She will certainly be missed by many. RIP Cathy.

Thank you.. Cathy left her personally imprinted in the memories of so many great people. There was absolutely no reading between the lines, straight to the point, direct and without hesitation. As kids we all knew that she only asked once but everyone listened. I could always see her little smile through her precise directions. Teaching was her career but indeed kept her skills sharp on the home front. After years apart, being reunited with such a unexpected gift she had not missed a beat. Our first conversation being reunited again brought back so many memories. It was overwhelming for the both of us. ( if you know, you know) I personally will unfortunately, always feel like we all did miss out on parts of lives but we are who we are today because of the choices we make in life. I'm just grateful for the time we did get together and all the people that helped make these dreams come true. From all our families in the west, we all sent our condolences. PS, more kids today should paint fences. Peace and love ya always.
