Obituary of William Garnet Linton

Linton, William Garnet Passed away at his home in Port Hope on Thursday October 16, 2003. Garnet Linton beloved husband of Pat. Dear father of Ron Linton, Gary Linton and Shelley (Bill Prentice). Brother of Ruby Milgate, Teresa Newton, Shirley MacDonald, Sid Linton and the late Ross Linton. Also survived by grandchildren Mark Prentice, Ryan Prentice and Julie Linton. Son-in-law of Mary and Otto Kreuzpaintner. Brother-in-law of Joe Kreuzpaintner (Carol) and family. Friends will be received at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 30, 99 Toronto Road, Port Hope, Saturday from 1 pm until time of Memorial Service at 2 pm. Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope to Ridout St. Turn left at Ridout St. Follow Ridout St. east (it becomes Walton St.) to Pine St. Turn right on Pine St. Follow Pine St. south to Gifford St. Turn right on Gifford St. and follow a short distance west to Thomas St. Turn right on Thomas St. and follow a short distance north to the legion hall which is located on the east (right) side of the street. FROM HWY 401 westbound Exit at County Rd. 28, Ontario St. (exit 464). Follow Ontario St. south into Port Hope. At the "Y" veer to the left and continue south to Walton St. Turn right on Walton St. Follow Walton St. west through the business section to Pine St. Turn left on Pine St. Follow Pine St. south to Gifford St. Turn right on Gifford St. and follow a short distance west to Thomas St. Turn right on Thomas St. and follow a short distance north to the legion hall which is located on the east (right) side of the street.
