I saw George every single day while working at McDonald’s for the last 4 and a half years. I was overly delighted when I saw him, and always had his small coffee with cream and a Splenda packet ready before he’d even ordered it. He was known as the candy man, sneaking little goodies to our crew, and some special ones would get a larger chocolate bar on occasion. He will be missed dearly, as his daily visits (sometimes multiple times a day) were essential to us all! I loved sitting and talking with him when I had a moment, and I can still see him sitting on his stool in the lobby.

George was our neighbour and we were the lucky recipients of his strawberry and peach picking. We had daily conversations and he took great care of the tomato plants we brought him. We have only lived in port Hope for 3 years and George was very welcoming, he is very missed. Happy trails to you, George
