Claude was always good to be around. Kind, generous, thoughtful, curious. It was wonderful to see the way he lit up around the people he loved, and the way he smiled when he spoke about music.

Sorry to hear about Claude's passing. It was incredible what he went through. We have many fond memories of family get togethers, Claude was always there with his guitar at hand. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

On behalf of Durham Region Folk Circle, we offer our most sincere condolences to Claude's family. As a very early member of this cluster of folk music players and singers, Claude attended every monthly meeting he could, even after moving out to Port Hope. He was also an energetic member of spinoff groups such as The Folkers, and The Shed Dogs. Both groups performed pro bono at a number charity events, with Claude often leading the way on vocals and guitar.He will be missed very much. May he play on forever in the Angel Band...
As a member of the Durham Region Folk Circle and fellow "Shed Dog", I echo John's comments. Claude was a talented, generous man who always included others in the circle and ecouraged them. He had a vast repertoire of songs and it was a great pleasure to sing and play with him. He will be greatly missed by many.........but not forgotten .
Betty, Jack and I were so deeply saddened on hearing the news of Claudes unexpected passing. We have fond memories of the summer evening on our backyard deck when he (guitar) and his dad (accordion) entertained friends and neighbours. Even neighbours not in attendance later commented on how much they enjoyed the music. He will be greatly missed.
