Dear Bill, Julie, Mark, Karen, Zackary and Brandan there are no words to express the
saddness you must be feeling at this time. We have all lost the 'Sunshine of our Lives'. But Charlotte's contagious laughter and smile are etched in our memories forever.
I met Charlotte in 1974 in a class at Trent University. I knew, the minute I heard her laughter and hilarious off the cuff comment regarding the complexity of the course that I wanted to be her friend. From that day forward and for the following 47 years, Charlotte remained one of my dearest friends through all of our lives joys, heartaches and celebrations.
She was Auntie Char to my husband and all three of my children. Char was all the good things that happened in their life, their hearts are broken.
We were so very fortunate to be able to share Christmas Eve celebrations together in their Bewdley homes. She and Bill were the equivalent of Santa's visits every year; those memories are now engraved in the hearts of my adult children.
Char will be so very, very missed Bill, but never ever forgotten. Her beautiful smile, laughter and impromptu reactions will continue to lighten our hearts
on even the most challenging days.
Our prayers and loving thoughts are sent to you now Bill and to Julie and her family. God Bless.

So sad to hear that Charlotte passed. We spoke many times by telephone whenever she saw one of my editorial cartoons in the paper. It didn't matter whether it was good or bad, she liked them all. She was a great encouragement to a struggling artist !

Charlotte made coming to work at Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes a joy. Enthusiastic, humourous, generous, indefatigable, creative, responsible, team player, loved by her "boys (the van drivers) are all words that I would use to describe Charlotte's contribution to the Handi-van Transportation Program. After retirement, she remained a good friend. She valued the relationships that had enriched our working years and transferred the same commitment to retaining warm relationships even when we were retired. Thankyou Charlotte for enriching my life, and that of the seniors and persons with disabilities in the Kawartha lakes in so many, memorable ways.
You will be missed.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Charlotte during her time with Community Care Northumberland. She was always a happy, enthusiastic, positive person. Her passion for improving the lives for those that required accessibility was relentless along with her pride in Rice Lake tourism and her love of the Northumberland County. She has certainly made her mark and will be missed. My condolences to Bill and family.

Charlotte is fondly remembered and was a bigger than life figure to the people that she came in contact with. Charlotte, although younger that our parents, worked hard with them throughout many years, to promote tourism and business in the Rice Lake and District Area, and becoming close. Charlotte was a constant in our early adult years, being involved with our lives and livelihood as well, in a positive and productive way.
Wishing Bill and Family wonderful and fun memories with Charlotte!

Charlotte was always optimistic and had colourful creative ways of describing things. When something went amuck, it was a “cluster” and yes, she always muddled through. There’s an energy that surrounded Charlotte whenever I saw her. Her brightly coloured clothing was an outward display of her inner goodness. She emanated light and marched to her own tune.
We worked together on her Rice Lake Vacation Guide every year for almost 30 years, right up until it’s last publication in 2019. Her book, Rice Lake Reflections meant so much to her, and she put her heart into it. I was honoured to have been involved in her project. Charlotte and I worked together but more importantly she became a friend.
Wherever the Beyond may be, surely Charlotte is there, busy making things happen and spreading her positivity.
My deepest condolences to Bill, Julie, and Mark. Charlotte will be missed.
