Sandra The Photographer
Sandra didn't just take pictures, she took wonderful photographs, she had a photographers eye.
She could look at a forest and see the trees and saw the photograph that was waiting to be taken.
She could also see the flowers in that forest, the photo within the photo.
Her camera was only a tool that took the pictures, its Sandra talent behind the lens that captures the photo.
Her artistic skill was knowing the right angle, the right exposure and the right lens needed to capture that special photo, which gave us a glimpse into her minds eye.
We will miss Sandra's Photographs, not the ones she leaves behind for us, those we will have to admire and cherish forever. Those photos showcase her ability to “paint with light”.
The photos we will miss, are Sandra's photos that were to come.......

We were so sorry to hear of Sandys passing, she will be missed by so many.
I met Sandy over 40 years ago. My husband Tom and Jim were childhood friends. Sandy and Jim came to visit us one Christmas eve and Sandy made beautiful flannelett nighties with matching dolls for our two small daughters. I thought that was so kind and generous, I have never forgotten.
Our condolences to the whole family, you were blessed to have Sandy in your lives. Love Sue and Tom Livings

I was shocked at the suddenness of Sandra's passing. I will always remember Sandra as an outstanding Outings Director with the Northumberland Photography Club; Sandra always had a smile, always got involved, always had some constructive feedback to provide and it was obvious that she loved being involved in the photography club, having donned various hats over the years. Sandra left some mighty big shoes to fill.
My condolences to the family.

My heart hurts for Jim and the family. Bob and I have so many fond memories of fun times spent with Sandy, Jim, Byran and Martin over the 40+ years we've known each other. This pic is Sandy doing what she does best at Jones Falls three years ago when we spent a weekend together up at our cottage. RIP my dear friend.

Sandy and Jim are our next door neighbors. We have shared many glasses of wine over the years as we have watched their grandchildren playing, or as we discussed what to do about our shared trees, and of course during our annual summer solstice party. For years I have admired Sandy's green thumb, as their garden blossomed with spectacular colors throughout the spring, summer and fall, so much love and hard work she put in to it (often with her sister's help)...and to hear her laughter from across the way, and the squeal of joy from her grandchildren as they chased each other and played games, has been an ongoing source of comfort to me. Very recently I was thinking as I watched her riding the lawnmower, how that woman just doesn't seem to age, and how beautiful she is. So so sad at the loss to her beloved family, and to all of us.
