My wife Michele and I met Don when we first moved to Port Hope. Don and Lorraine were our neighbors for the last six years, we could not have asked for better people to move in beside. The very first day i met Don he offered to let me use his riding mower, that was just the beginning of his kindness. From then on he would offer a hand if i was doing work on the yard or outside the house. He always gave me good advice on how to do things. I knew i was getting good garden advice because Don and Lorraine had one of the beautiful gardens in town. As we got to know them they became more than neighbors they became really good friends. I would walk my dog Trixie and at the end of every walkshewould go to Dons house and wait til he opened the sunroom door. She would in and jump up in Don and Lorraines lap and lick their faces. They all had some kind of candy or salty treat they were eatinf and she would lick their faces clean. During these vists me and my wife would get to know them and listen to all their stoies. Our last visit there was the best one. We all sat and had a drink and talked for a good hour. My dog still goes to his door looking for him. We are all going to miss him dearly. We didn't just lose a neighbor we lost a very good friend.
We love and miss you Don
Terry, Michele and Trixie

I’m so sorry to hear of Donald’s passing. He was a very nice gentleman and although I only knew him a short time it was an honour to get to know him. My sincere condolences to Loraine, Brian and family. Sheila Drew

so sorry to read about Donald. You two were such a nice couple. You were on my son’s paper route for years. And I would talk to you about your neat birds on the front step and how well your house was kept. I just saw it for sale recently.
I also chatted with you when I was at Scotia and remember even doing a home visit
Condolences.
