John Bernie Floyd August 20, 1953- August 26, 2022. Died peacefully at home in his 69th year. Lover of nature, active angler, and hunter. Never met anyone he couldn't carry on a conversation with. A natural born politician, and a proud, active member of the Town of Port Hope. Serving as Reeve and on various boards and committees. Born in London Ontario to Bernie Floyd and Marion Floyd (Robarts) to whom he was predeceased. Brother of Shelly May, Andrew Floyd, and Philip Floyd. Father of Jeanette Floyd, Grandfather to Brier Floyd, Sebastian Floyd-Lombard(deceased), Maya and Emery Floyd-Lombard. Lifelong Friend of Clive Mackie, Russel Dickson, Victor Nanoff, Garry Brown (Browny) (deceased) and many others. Always having an open door made for many interesting encounters, and stories though out his life at the beach house. I have no doubt his absence will be noticed by many. May his soul now be at peace. And may his good memories and classic recipes live on through all of us that have been left behind. Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.
