So saddened to learn of Tony's Passing. Tony was a Childhood friend when we both lived on Green Street in Whitby. We both came from Dutch immigrant families and lived just a few houses apart. Many a summer day was spend doing what kids did back then or going on a family picnic somewhere near Lake Simcoe I Think. So long ago.
I can remember helping Tony with his paper route (which I would later take over) delivering the Toronto Star on most of Green street after which He would buy us ice creanm. His would be the "large" one and He would say with that mischievous smile and laugh "I was only helping"
As we both grew up and went our seperate ways I would occasionally see him during a fire emergency and he would be much to busy to chat.
I wish to express my sincere belated condolences to the Doleweerd family.
