It was heartbreaking this morning to learn of Tom's passing earlier this month. He was my colleague and manager at Legal Aid Ontario. Tom hired me as a Family Duty Counsel in January 2012. He always treated his staff with respect and he was extremely approachable. In the last few years before he left Legal Aid Ontario, Tom held staff Christmas parties at his home. He was a warm, supportive and generous person. In January 2016, Tom and the office staff attended my mother's funeral during a very bad winter storm and this meant so much to me. I will always remember Tom fondly. May he rest in eternal Peace.
Very sorry to hear of Tom's passing this morning. I hope he had an opportunity to enjoy retirement with his family! I will miss his humour and funny smile. Rest in peace Tom - you deserve it!
I am saddened by the passing of my friend. Although we lost touch after his retirement, Tom and I spent many a lunch in Oshawa discussing family law, his time in the military, and many other topics. Tom was always quick with a laugh, even at my bad jokes. He was a terrific colleague and a kind human being. He will be missed.
Mr Tordoff was a client of mine at his local bank, he will be missed deeply. He was such a wonderful man, always smiling and happy. I am very saddened by his passing, my condolences to all his family.
Although I did not now Tom well or for a long time his generosity, warmth and caring for so many was evident from our first meeting. He will be sorely missed in our community and by all his family and friends. My heart goes out to you Barb.
I grew up in West Hill with the Tordoff family. A wonderful family. Tom helped me with a small legal problem, I am forever grateful.
