Obituary of Jenny Houston

Jenny Julia Houston

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday October 20, 2023.

Jenny (Gruszecki) beloved wife of the late David Edward Houston, loving mother of David (Alison), John (Michelle) and the late Ted (survived by daughter-in-law Tammy), loving grandmother to Peter, Brandon, Emily, Avery and Ashley, great grandmother to Cora, Ceiley, Myra and Bo, loving sister to Pat Appleman (Charlie), aunt to Kim and Kelly. There will be a private family funeral and interment.

Jenny loved life and filled her time with the many things that brought her joy, going dancing, gardening, cooking Polish dishes for family and her animals. Jenny was full of life and enjoyed entertaining. There was always food on the table as she loved to cook, bake and feed everyone that came through the door. Rarely if you came for a visit did you leave without eating or drinking something. Jenny wouldn't hear of it.

Her wicked sense of humor gave much pleasure and sometimes got her in trouble. But she didn't care, if something was funny, Jenny would laugh.

Jenny requested that any donations be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or to the Northumberland Humane Society.

Jenny's family wish to thank Dr. Everdell, Dr. Mule and the Nursing staff for their compassionate care of our Mother.
