Wow I'm so very saddened to hear of Delores' passing but at the same time find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and pain free. Her love for life and all it offers was untouchable. She is welcomed by so many loved ones who have passed before her. She truly is one of a kind. I have no memories of our two families growing up without her support and many of you taking care of especially Nancy and I. Your mom is my Koolaid Queen. She taught up how to dip our sandwiches in our Koolaid so the crusts of our bread would be colorful and soft to chew. To this day Koolaid is my drink of choice!
To all of you, your journey onward will be filled of many challenges and life long loss. I don't believe we ever "adjust to the loss" we just learn somehow to pick up the remaining pieces and move forward. My sincere condolences to all of you, she will always hold a special place in my heart.
