Obituary of Jean MacGregor

Jean MacGregor passed away peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on the 29^th of May, 2024, at 79 years.Loving wife of the late Donald MacGregor. Beloved mother of Shona and Donald MacGregor; loving grandmother to grandchildren Bryden, Karlyn, and Liam. Adored sister of siblings Alex Bryden (Alexis), Tommy Bryden (Anne), and Andy Bryden (Mary) – and aunt to many nieces and nephews, both in Scotland and Ontario. Jean is predeceased by her parents, Andy and Isobel Bryden of Ayr, Scotland, and her sister June Cope (Nevil).

The family will be holding a private memorial service.  

A celebration of life is to follow, in Jean’s home country of Scotland.

She Is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
