Obituary of Merril Ward

Ward, Merril James Suddenly on February 20, 2007 in his 60th year. Loving husband and best friend of Diane Kloosterhof. Proud father of Jamie and his partner Maranda Johnson. Son of the late James and Martha Ward. Much loved son-in-law of Nick Kloosterhof and the late Anna. Merril is survived by his many loving brothers and sisters including Anna (the late Jim) McCammond, Patrick (Lida) Ward, Bernice (Paul) Roberts, Marian (Ron) Pettifer, Gwenneth (Ron) Roddy, Arlene Mose (Ralph), Jerome (Sandy) Ward, Christopher Ward, Laurel (Ray) Hawthorne, Nona Abrams (Rick) and the late Leon. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. Merril will be remembered by many, for his quick wit and general enjoyment of life. He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Friday, February 23, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, 155 Walton Street, Port Hope, Saturday, February 24, 11 am. Interment, St. Mary?s Cemetery. Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm Allison Funeral Home Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 28, Ontario St. (exit 464). Follow Ontario St. south into Port Hope. The funeral home is located at the juncture of Ontario St., Young St. and Mill St. N. on the east (left) side of Mill St. N. The parking lot (behind the building) can be accessed either from Young St. or Mill St. N.

St. Mary's Cemetery Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope. The cemetery is located just south of Jocelyn St./Marsh Rd. on the west (right) side of the street.
