Obituary of Verna Myrle Jay

Jay, Verna Myrle (nee Crossley) December 22, 1912 ? March 1, 2007 Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital. Verna Myrle Jay in her 95th year was a loving and devoted wife of the late Cyril Jay, who predeceased her on December 5, 1999. Mother of Ron and his wife Fran of Cobourg, Keith and his wife Sylvia of Milton. Loving grandmother of Brian and his wife Marie-Helene of Nepean, Brenda Mock of Cobourg, Michael and Stephen Jay of Milton. Great-grandmother of Elizabeth, Justin and Isabelle Jay of Nepean and Emily and Kendal Mock of Cobourg. Great Grandma will be missed by Emily who was a frequent visitor. Deep gratitude to Dr. Haukioja, Nursing Staff of Northumberland Hills Hospital on 2A, Complex Care and Palliative Unit for the loving care of mom. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Complete Funeral Service Monday 2 pm. Private Interment, Port Hope Union Cemetery. The funeral home is located at the juncture of Ontario St., Young St. and Mill St. N. on the east (left) side of Mill St. N. The parking lot (behind the building) can be accessed either from Young St. or Mill St. N.

Port Hope Union Cemetery Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope. The cemetery is located just past Jocelyn St./Marsh Rd. on the west (right) side of the road.
