Obituary of Ivy Rowe

Rowe, Ivy Mary (nee Cook) Peacefully at Community Nursing Home, Port Hope on Monday June 25, 2007, in her 96th year. Was the beloved wife of the late Percy Rowe (1979). Much loved mother of Curene MacGillis (Gifford) of Port Hope. Cherished grandmother of Dianne and her husband Allan Laanemets of Belleville. Loving sister of Evelyn Reynolds, Ben Cook (Jean) and the late Gladys Cockey, Hazel Franklin, Edna MacGillivray, Betty Rylance, Orville, Norman, Arthur and Ross Cook. Also predeceased by son-in-laws Allan MacGillis and Fred Gifford. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Thursday 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment, Bethel Grove Cemetery. The family of Ivy would like to thank the staff of the Community Nursing Home for their kindness and support. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Thursday 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am. Allison Funeral Home Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 28, Ontario St. (exit 464). Follow Ontario St. south into Port Hope. The funeral home is located at the juncture of Ontario St., Young St. and Mill St. N. on the east (left) side of Mill St. N. The parking lot (behind the building) can be accessed either from Young St. or Mill St. N.

Bethel Grove Cemetery Hamilton Township ON DIRECTIONS: FROM PORT HOPE Follow County Rd. 28 north to 5th line. Turn right on 5th line. Follow 5th line east to the cemetery. The cemetery is located at the corner of Vic Lightle Rd. on the north (left) side of the road.
