William (Bill) McCarthy 1925-2010 WW II British Merchant Navy Radio Officer. Passed away peacefully at Extendicare in Port Hope with his family by his side, Friday April 16, 2010. Beloved husband of Nicole Corbeil (former spouse Ivy McCarthy). Loving father of Beverley McCarthy (Tom McDowell), Siobhan McCarthy and Michael McCarthy. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Siobhan Musil (Scott Kendall), Bryan Musil (Ashley Goodman), Kyra and Niamh McCarthy. Proud great-grandfather of Quaid and Jacob William. Brother of Thomas McCarthy (Joyce) and Breda Thomas (Colin) of the U.K. Brother-in-law of Henriette Corbeil (late Germain) and Jeanne Corbeil (late Camille). Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Bill?s life on Thursday, May 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Penryn Park Mansion, 82 Victoria Street South, Port Hope.
