Barre, Joan Margaret Passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Tuesday December 6, 2011. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Barre. Loving mother of David (Pat), Yvonne (Danny Green), Joanne, Eugene (Lynn), Paul, Linda, Marie (Wayne Pillar) and Rene. Dear grandmother to 14 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. The family of the late Joan Barre (Barrie) invite you to a celebration of Joan's life on Sunday, January 29th from 1 pm until 4 pm at the Port Hope Legion on Thomas St. Please bring any special memories of mom you may have. Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 30 Port Hope Ontario DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 eastbound Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope to Ridout St. Turn left at Ridout St. Follow Ridout St. east (it becomes Walton St.) to Pine St. Turn right on Pine St. Follow Pine St. south to Gifford St. Turn right on Gifford St. and follow a short distance west to Thomas St. Turn right on Thomas St. and follow a short distance north to the legion hall which is located on the east (right) side of the street. FROM HWY 401 westbound Exit at County Rd. 28, Ontario St. (exit 464). Follow Ontario St. south into Port Hope. At the "Y" veer to the left and continue south to Walton St. Turn right on Walton St. Follow Walton St. west through the business section to Pine St. Turn left on Pine St. Follow Pine St. south to Gifford St. Turn right on Gifford St. and follow a short distance west to Thomas St. Turn right on Thomas St. and follow a short distance north to the legion hall which is located on the east (right) side of the street.

St. Mary's Cemetery Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope. The cemetery is located just south of Jocelyn St./Marsh Rd. on the west (right) side of the street.
