Obituary of William Wyatt
Wyatt, William Arthur Member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants for over 50 years; former councillor and Deputy Reeve of Port Hope and Mayor from 1978-1988. Bill passed away on July 23rd at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Donna Wormington; children Judi (Ken Bell), the late Glenn, Karyn (Tim Wardle), Andrew (Stevie Asselstine), Michael; grandchildren Avery, Harrison, and Naomi Bell; brother Douglass (Mary Brown); nephew Shane and niece Natasha. Bill will also be missed by Donna's mother Helen, sister Susan (Tino Colussi); brothers David (Maria), Grant (Lorraine), Barry (Teisha) and James; nephews Brendan and Taylor and nieces Anna and Hayley. His faithful feline companion Miles predeceased him by days, leaving the family cat Kady surviving. Bill was born on March 20, 1940 to the late Walter and Vera Wyatt in Cornwall. He lived in Port Hope from 1968-1989 where his girls grew up, then he and Donna moved to Cobourg where they raised their boys. He continued his accounting practice from home and was still working at the time of his death. Bill loved all sports, and was a lifelong fan of the Brooklyn now L.A. Dodgers and New York Giants. He was a long-time Petes season ticket holder, taking his sons and then his grandchildren to share his love of hockey. Bill also enjoyed his time coaching rep and house league baseball in Port Hope and Cobourg for many years. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Thursday 7-9 pm. Funeral Service at Calvary Baptist Church, 166 King Street West, Cobourg, Friday 11 am.
